In Loving Memory.

Marvin sat in his rocking chair that had been hand carved by his late father, it creaked with familiarity as he nurtured his smoking pipe.

The log cabin was situated high in the Rocky mountains and stood in harmony with the surrounding landscape, again it had been hand built by Marvin's great grandfather. It had stood the test of time and was testament to his strength of character.

Marvin had always felt at peace as he looked out across the Ponderosa pines they stood tall and strong and had a certain wisdom

He took in a deep breath of crisp morning air as he thought back to the first time had met Elizabeth, they had been just 14 yrs old and had spent the holiday running wild through the pine trees with Infectious laughter.

By 16 they had become childhood sweethearts, and spent the days lying lazily in the long grasses listening to the gentle song of the Lark Bunting.

They had spent 50 yrs of their life returning every Summer to the cabin where they had first met, and in that time they had laughed and cried together, and had stood together as one through the good and the bad times.

Marvin tightened his jacket , he felt the cold these days,

He was now 78 yrs old and Elizabeth would have been 77, but had sadly lost her fight against cancer last fall, the Lark Bunting never returned that year.

Marvin's pipe had gone out and it was time to say farewell to the Rockies  and his soul mate.

He never did return, and he himself passed away soon after,

It is said he had died of a broken heart.

They now lay together as one
